Evaluation Toolkit
Local
Family Connection county collaboratives plan and evaluate change
resulting from the strategies, programs and activities they implement.
This Evaluation Toolkit is an on-line, help resource designed to
provide county collaboratives with timely information and guidance
about the Family Connection Partnership approach to evaluation and
tools and resources for evaluating community strategies for improving
results for children and families.
Family
Connection Partnership is committed to empowerment or participatory
evaluation where collaborative partners, families, youth and program
funders are involved in the evaluation process. All people involved
in the collaborative evaluation process should have access to the
assistance they need. Having on-line assistance available is one
effort toward meeting your evaluation needs in a timely way.
The
Evaluation Toolkit contains these key sections:
Evaluation Team. Find out who the Evaluation/Results
Accountability team members are, what the focus of their work is,
and how to contact the team with questions, comments, and feedback.
FCP
& Evaluation. Provides the philosophy, approach and
key definitions as practiced in Family Connection Partnership evaluation.
Conducting
Evaluations. Includes basic instructions for accomplishing
the evaluation tasks expected of community collaboratives; covers
instructions in some basic evaluation skills and provides links
to other sites with additional information.
Evaluation
Tools & Resources. Find printable forms of tools and
instruments you can use to plan, implement and report your community's
evaluation.
Evaluation
Links. Offers links to other Web sites the Evaluation Team
has found helpful.
Reports
& Findings.
Features reports of evaluation efforts that attempt to answer
key evaluation questions: Is the Family Connection initiative effective?
Is Family Connection making a difference? Access summaries of information/data
(e.g., annual Self Assessment) submitted to Family Connection Partnership.
Look for regular updates to the body of evaluation research which
seeks to understand the Theory of Change related to the Family Connection
initiative.
Current
Hot Topics. Highlights new information and tools. This section
will alert communities to upcoming events related to evaluation.
Frequently
Asked Questions (FAQs). Each section of the Evaluation Toolkit
will highlight questions Collaboratives Want to Know. Here
you will find fast answers to the questions the Evaluation Team
hears most frequently. You may direct your questions to eval@gafcp.org.
All questions will be answered. Those questions which have relevance
for many collaboratives will become a part of the Evaluation Toolkit.
