Key Roles in the Evaluation Process

The Family Connection Partnership approach to evaluation is participatory. A participatory approach to evaluation calls for the full involvement of collaborative partners, families, youth and funders in the evaluation process. It is important for collaborative members to know what is expected and how each person or group can be involved.

While all members of the collaborative technically share the responsibility of providing evaluative evidence of community development and results for children and families, it is customary for the collaborative chair to appoint an Evaluation Committee or designate specific individuals or groups who will assume day-to-day responsibility and put in place procedures that will insure the reporting of results.
